Yesterday, while performing extracorporeal shock wave therapy for erectile dysfunction for a patient, he shared that a few years ago, he bought Japan Tengsu for his erection issues and found it very effective.
However, when he later purchased a different brand, it had no effect (he suspected it was fake).
Recently, he bought Japan Tengsu again online, claiming to be authentic Japanese imports, and he felt the effect was excellent, even better than Viagra and Cialis.
He mentioned that in Japan, this product is touted as a top choice alongside Viagra and Cialis, and he asked me to look into it.
So, I did some research, and to my surprise, many countries' FDA (Food and Drug Administration) issued warning signs advising people not to purchase.
Here are a few examples:

「Japan Tengsu tablets pose a serious risk to your health and should not be taken.
The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has tested a product labelled Japan Tengsu tablets and found that:
- The capsules contain the undeclared substance Sildenafil.
Consumers are advised that Sildenafil is a prescription-only (S4) medicine in Australia.
The supply of Japan Tengsu tablets containing undisclosed Sildenafil is illegal.
Japan Tengsu tablets have not been assessed by the TGA for quality, safety or efficacy as required under Australian legislation, and the place of manufacture is not approved by the TGA.」

In fact, the Taiwan Ministry of Health and Welfare has issued relevant warnings, not just once.
Over the years, information on non-compliant products in food and traditional Chinese medicine containing Western medicine has been publicly disclosed.

2019 Dec.
I roughly browsed through reports from previous years, and the frequency of the appearance of sildenafil (generic name for Viagra) as an ingredient is extremely high.
It rightfully earns the title of the "king of additives in sexual health supplements."
For example, the report from June 2016 is particularly noteworthy, not only mentioning Japan Tengsu but also listing many other health products containing sildenafil.
Similarly, in May 2015, three items were listed, and in November 2015, there were numerous entries in the public information table for non-compliant products.
Not only Viagra but also other similar drugs such as tadalafil (generic name for Cialis) are mixed in.
In recent reports, entries for September 2021 and August 2021 can be found in the public information table for non-compliant products containing Western medicine.
Therefore, the answer is quite clear.
The patient's perception of the effectiveness of Japan Tengsu has nothing to do with whether it is genuine.
It is because sildenafil is added.
This once again confirms the prevailing consensus in the medical community: there is no health food or herbal remedy that is effective for erectile dysfunction.
Additionally, it is essential to remind the public that purchasing items with medicinal ingredients through online channels is a violation of pharmaceutical laws (source: https://health.ltn.com.tw/article/breakingnews/3314557).
Please be cautious when buying such products.
